On Tuesday, March 6, 11 MTA students headed to the Young Israel of Woodmere for Yeshiva League Model Congress 2018. Each student was placed on a committee, in which they presented bills that had been prepared weeks in advance and discussed bills presented by other students from different schools. The event included davening, opening speeches, two “Senate” sessions, lunch, Mincha and closing ceremonies. Six out of the 11 MTA students in attendance won first or second place awards as committee “Senators.”
