A classroom is so much more than a place of academic learning. For a child, a joyous community, adult awareness of developmental needs, calm and order, and quality teaching combine to create a very special school experience. JEC Lower and Middle School faculty enjoyed an intense day of training in the Responsive Classroom approach. The practices and routines of this unique program enable teachers to create a classroom setting that helps each child thrive. From language to learning activities, from student choice to energizers, Responsive Classroom brought the JEC faculty together, ready and excited to bring this approach into every classroom.
