RYNJ’s ECD children had a great time learning all about matzah and then getting to prepare matzot of their very own. Each child received their own separate bowls of flour and water. When the timer began, the little bakers rushed to pour the water in and mix, roll and poke their very own matzot. As the children worked, they chanted the words “L’shem matzot mitzvah,” just as the bakers chant in the large matzah factories. After eighteen minutes, the timer sounded and the matzot came out of the oven. The yeladim loved participating in this fun, memorable and educational experience!
