Lori Freudenberger-Nelson Joins JVS MetroWest as Director of Development

(Courtesy of JVS) Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) of MetroWest New Jersey has appointed Lori Freudenberger-Nelson as director of development. In this role, she will advocate for the social-impact organization’s Jewish values and its mission of helping people help themselves through innovative programs in training, education and career counseling to create pathways to hope, independence and employment. Freudenberger-Nelson’s vision is to generate revenue to help fund JVS’ programs by cultivating and expanding potential donors and significantly increasing JVS’ visibility in the Greater MetroWest community.

She first joined JVS in 2012 when she assisted individuals on the autism spectrum with securing competitive employment within the community by teaching them job-readiness skills. Freudenberger-Nelson later served as account manager for the corporate training department, which is JVS’ for-profit arm, where she successfully ran programming to increase overall revenue, identified strategies to ensure corporate growth and served as a liaison for grants procured by the department. Most recently, she served as director of resource development at a local non-profit that serves individuals with developmental disabilities.

Freudenberger-Nelson holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania with a minor in marketing from The Wharton School.
