Moriah’s lower school students enjoyed a really “cool” Hebrew immersion activity. The shlichot created Moriah’s own branch of Aroma Espresso Bar, and students used Hebrew menus to choose from a variety of delectable pastries and tasty milkshakes, which they ordered and requested only in Hebrew. After obtaining the delights of their choice, complete with all the accompanying toppings, the children enjoyed sipping their drinks as they perused through Hebrew “newspapers.” Students had such a great time as they engaged in Hebrew language in fun, meaningful and tasty ways, that they were truly reluctant to leave as their time slots ended. Moriah looks forward to conducting similar activities of this nature during future programs.
