MTA’s inaugural Queens shabbaton took place on March 16-17 at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills. Head of School Rabbi Joshua Kahn, freshman rebbe Rabbi Rafi Pearl and Executive Director Yoni Cohen joined 40 talmidim for an exciting and meaningful Shabbos, spearheaded by Director of Student Activities Elie Hirt and parent volunteer Stuart Verstandig. Everyone enjoyed davening, Divrei Torah, a ruach-filled Friday night tish with Rabbi Ophie Nat and eating meals together. Talmidim led the teen minyan davening and also delivered inspiring Divrei Torah. The shabbaton was a great way for talmidim from different communities to bond with one another and they are grateful to the Kew Gardens Hills community for their warm welcome.
