On Sunday April 15, RYNJ held its annual boys Dor L’Dor event in the Felman Gymnasium. This special event gives the students of RYNJ wonderful bonding time with their fathers and/or grandfathers. The event is always a great time and this year’s program, a CMEK game night led by Chad Mekles and his coaches, did not disappoint!
The boys and their fathers practiced different basketball skills and had a friendly game of dodgeball.
Chad told the JLNJ “My staff and I enjoyed hosting the event. The RYNJ PTA were so easy to work with. They were very passionate and so I, personally, game-planned to ensure that each participant had a fun and challenging experience. We had a combination of basketball and dodgeball games and competitions and included our trademark prize games. There were five different raffle winners who walked away with great prizes.”
Chad added that “While basketball skill development and travel teams will always be our primary focus, these kinds of events allow us to connect with the schools, kids and their families in a different way. Some of the other special events we do include: holiday programs, where we bring our staff to various venues, school kiddush luncheons, school break camps, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, graduation parties and more.”
