Have you ever wanted to walk on the moon? Build your own lunar lander? RYNJ fifth grade students did just that at RYNJ’s solar system themed STEM night! Stations at the event included a website for solar system computer programing and a virtual reality tour of the moon using Google Cardboard glasses. Students even determined the weight of various objects on the moon and used Ozobots to create an eclipse! A good time was had by all—especially by Adira Shor and Menachem Yablok, who both estimated the closest guess of how many star-shaped jelly candies were in the jar, and took home the entire jar! Everyone left with a foam moon ball, also known as a Squishy, to remember the wonderful evening!
