In honor of Yom Hazikaron, Heichal HaTorah students heard a fascinating first-hand account of the Six-Day War from guest speaker Raphi Benoraya, a well-known speaker, philanthropist and business executive.

On Yom Ha’atzmaut, noted author and motivational speaker Rabbi Shalom Hammer spoke about his experiences as a rabbi in the IDF. The students then enjoyed an Israeli-style shawarma lunch. In accordance with Rav Hershel Shachter’s psak, Hallel was recited on Friday, the fifth of Iyar.
