Moriah Seventh Graders Visit Philadelphia

The Moriah seventh graders had an action-packed trip to Philadelphia earlier this week. On Monday they started the tour of historical Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center. After lunch they visited the Mikve Israel Synagogue where they met with the rabbi, learned the special history of the shul and davened Mincha. The afternoon concluded with a visit to landmarks including the Liberty Bell and the Philadelphia Museum of Art (the “Rocky steps”). It was a lot harder to run up all those steps than they thought!

Day two took the students on a special trip to Amish country, where they got an inside look into how the Amish people live their day-to-day life. It was incredible to learn about a group of people who live with a completely different culture not too far from home! They ended the day with a visit to the Herr’s factory and more sightseeing. Needless to say the students came back exhausted!
