Englewood—NORPAC President Dr. Ben Chouake recently hosted an event for Representative Frank Pallone. Pallone, whose congressional district includes large Jewish populations in both Highland Park and Edison, is running in the special primary election announced to fill the seat of the late Senator Frank Lautenberg.
Congressman Pallone has been a strong supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship since he assumed office in 1993. As a member of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, he has recognized Israel’s significant advances in energy technology and the importance of increasing energy cooperation between our two nations. He also met with over 30 members of his district during the 2013 NORPAC Mission to Washington pro-Israel advocacy event in May.
As with most primaries for an open seat election where there is no incumbent, NORPAC has not officially endorsed any candidate for the NJ U.S. Senate race. The organization continues to support those candidates who show a strong commitment to the U.S.-Israel relationship, and who have earned a reputation as leaders in this field.
