Join June Programs at Lavy House in Westfield

“Safety Tips for Seniors” will be the featured program for seniors on Tuesday, June 5, 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Resource Center at the Lavy House, 748 E. Broad Street, Westfield, New Jersey, presented by Officer Mike Riccio of the Union County sheriff’s office. Officer Riccio will be addressing general safety; apartment dwelling (living alone) safely, including tips in case of a fire; personal safety measures; and then travel safety measures that need to be taken. He will also address any questions that the audience may have and offer scam-prevention advice. Registration is recommended if you plan to attend. Please contact [email protected] or 908-352-8375.

The Memory Café at the Lavy House will take place on Tuesday, June 19, from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. The Memory Café program provides a casual time to enjoy lunch, social activities and entertainment for individuals with early to moderate Alzheimer’s Disease/dementia and their care partners. It is open to Alzheimer’s/dementia caregivers in the community and their loved ones. Registration is required by calling Naomi Kreutzer at 908-352-8375. Space is limited.

A light lunch will be served with kosher dietary laws observed at both programs. Programs are free of charge and open to the entire community.
