As the girls JV soccer championships was approaching, the tension between the SAR Sting and the Frisch Cougars was rising. SAR, 9-0, and Frisch, 8-0-1, never met during the regular season. On Thursday night at Ma’ayanot, the game began. Frisch and SAR remained tied 0-0 throughout the first quarter, however SAR struck first as Laura Brandwein scored a goal. Two minutes later, Frisch came from behind and scored not one, but two goals, gaining the 2-1 lead in the second quarter. Going in to the half, SAR and Frisch were tied at two a piece. Soon into the third, Frisch scored a goal, however SAR shot back scoring their third and fourth goal. However, down 4-3, Frisch bit back tying the game, and ultimately scoring one more, taking the lead into the fourth quarter, 5-4. The fourth quarter was electric for the SAR sting, scoring two goals towards the end of the game, taking the lead which would ultimately lead them to the trophy. It was a well played game by both teams, however SAR, led by Emily Feit with four goals, came out on top.
