Mazal tov to Rafi Ptashny, Ben Porat Yosef third grade student on his outstanding achievement, excelling in two co-curricular math contests. Rafi recently took part in math contests by Math Kangaroo in USA (an organization devoted to encouraging math mastery) and the Bergen County Academies. Of 3,000 third graders who participated in Math Kangaroo’s contest nationally, Rafi achieved the third highest score and the second highest score in New Jersey. He also scored an impressive 27/30 in the Math League contest—for fourth graders—sponsored by the Bergen County Academies, and 26/30 in the contest—for fifth graders.
