For the past two months, JKHA debate team members have been debating the following resolution, “The United States government should ban the death penalty.” The debaters met every Tuesday during lunch to share their speeches with fellow members of the team, cross one another and practice rebuttals. They got into many heated debates about the topic which ultimately prepared them for the final match against SAR and Yeshivat Noam. The JKHA students received trophies for first place school, first and second place individual speaker and first and third place team.
