Four chaperones. Three days. Two buses. One unforgettable senior trip. To cap off their four years together, the Bruriah High School seniors enjoyed a jam packed, three-day trip to Niagara Falls. The group of 70 seniors traveled via coach bus to the Canadian border, with movies and each other as entertainment along the way. After passing through border control, the seniors headed to Cave of the Winds, where they got soaked beneath the falls. Finally arriving at their hotel, the seniors settled in then had a delicious catered dinner. The seniors spent the evening at atop The Skylon, a 520-foot viewing tower nearby, that provided a spectacular 360° view of the sparkling city. The seniors ended the night with private access to the hotel pool, where tackle football games and dance parties ensued until midnight.
Early risers on day two had the luxury of davening by the falls before being served an extensive breakfast. The group then headed to Toronto, where they spent the day at Canada’s Wonderland amusement park. The seniors had perfect weather for going on rides, browsing in gift shop, eating ice cream and freshly delivered pizza and enjoying quality time with their peers. A BBQ dinner served outside by Chabad awaited the seniors after Canada’s Wonderland. Following dinner the seniors strolled around Clifton Hills, home to multiple haunted houses, laser tag, shops and a Ferris Wheel, all of which the seniors took advantage of before heading back to their hotel by way of the lighted Niagara Falls. To culminate the trip, the seniors spent their final day exploring the Canadian side of the Falls on the Hornblower and savoring their last moments together as a grade. With red ponchos and hair blowing in the wind, the experience on the boat was unlike any other as the Bruriah seniors got a close up view of the majestic falls. After an exhilarating 72 hours together, the seniors boarded their buses for home, exhausted, yet happy, knowing fully well that though they may be parting ways this summer, they’ll never forget what it means to be a part of Bruriah High School’s Class of 2018.
