RYNJ third graders were treated to a special Havdalah candle making program this past week. They learned all the aspects, and meaning, of Havdalah. They learned how to say “goodbye” to Shabbat and how to start out the week refreshed. Rabbi Grossbaum, director of Living Legacy for Bergen County, taught the students how to carefully and delicately make beautifully woven Havdalah candles which they were each able to bring home and enjoy.
