On Tuesday evening, July 10, Yavneh Academy students celebrated the second annual Redhawks Read on the Rebecca and Herb Gordon Field of Dreams. Participants enjoyed ice cream, special activities and read alouds by Dr. Sarah Feit and Head of School Rabbi Jonathan Knapp.

Dr. Feit read “Julius, The Baby of the World,” and then encouraged parents to share quality reading time with their kids. Harry Potter, aka Rabbi Knapp, read the first chapter of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Afterwards, participants used their glowing “magic wands” to read their own books. Everyone went home excited to continue reading throughout the summer!
