As part of the weekly SEED (Student Enrichment, Education and Development) speaker program, RKYHS students had the privilege of hearing an inspirational aseret yemei teshuva talk from renowned teacher and spiritual leader Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser. Rabbi Goldwasser spoke with his signature eloquence on the topic of “Teshuva: The power to change” and inspired students to stand strong to the challenges and trials they encounter, and the zchut they merit when doing the right thing. He impressed upon them that everyone goes through journeys and encounters challenges, but it is how we respond that matters.
Often recognized as the familiar, soothing voice of morning chizuk on the radio, Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser disseminates Torah and inspiration to tens of thousands through his radio role, position as spiritual leader of Congregation Bnei Yitzchok in Brooklyn, and in his many speaking engagements where he galvanizes audiences around the world. Rabbi Goldwasser’s keen perception and insight, as well as his caring and concern, have enabled him to offer much needed encouragement and inspiration to countless individuals, couples and families who have sought his guidance and counsel. Rabbi Goldwasser has authored more than ten books, on a wide variety of topics including stories of faith and encouragement, spiritual guide to eating disorders, Torah thoughts and insights into the weekly Torah portion, the challenges of our times, commentaries on Psalms and books of reflective concepts for Elul and Tishrei.
