With the hustle and bustle of students in the halls, school is back in full force! The students arrived to the first day of school with excitement. They were thrilled to see one another and eager to share their summer happenings. By 8:00 a.m. students were signing in to the new attendance system, and the sweet sound of tefillah was ringing through the halls. It is a joy to see the students becoming acclimated to school once again, connecting with their classmates and beginning to form new friendships.
Students are the lucky beneficiaries of a wise, committed and deeply caring faculty who spent a tremendous amount of time and energy preparing for each and every individual child they will teach. In the week before school began, the faculty reviewed high-level educational pedagogy in order to always reach for the goal of being top-notch educators in all domains. They worked individually and met in professional learning communities to grow their craft in chosen areas, and also reviewed practical and out of the box ways of working with a variety of behaviors that they may come across in school. This was only some of the exciting back to school preparation the faculty engaged in to ensure a smooth start to the incredible 2018-2019 school year. Moriah is so excited to welcome new faculty members Amanda Pransky and Moriah alum, Rabbi Zev Kahane. Moriah also welcomes teacher interns from Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education, Rabbi Dov Levinson, Micky Kopelowitz and Dina Kritz.
