On September 13, 2018, the air was filled with awe and spirituality as Rabbi Prizant graced the Teaneck and Bergen County area with his brachot and chizuk during the time of the Yamim Noraim. The community was fortunate to welcome Rabbi Prizant who is the new Klausenburg Rav in Union City, Hudson County, appointed after Rabbi Goldman’s passing. The memories and great accomplishments of the Klausenburg Rebbe, who endured the atrocities of the Holocaust, were prevalent throughout.
Kudos to Mr. and Mrs. Teitelbaum for hosting the event and to Deputy Mayor Eli Katz and all who attended for being part of this inspiring evening.
As a daughter of Rabbi Harold Hirschman, z”l, who was the original Rav in this once thriving community in the 50s and 60s along with the Yeshiva of Hudson County, I was thrilled to be a part of the legacy that continues. The Klausenburgers, a wonderful group of caring people, continue to ensure that the enclave of Union City is now thriving with yiddishkeit. Anyone needing to daven en route to New York via the Lincoln Tunnel can catch a minyan. In fact, during holiday times, if you need to hear megillah reading, visit the matzah baking factory or just get an extra dose of yiddishkeit, please feel free to stop by at 3400 New York Avenue in Union City or call the office for scheduling info at 201-867-8690.
