Moriah mother Elysha Rothstein came in to talk to sixth graders about her experience on the structural engineering team during the cleanup effort of the World Trade Center from January through May of 2002. She shared aerial images depicting the damage and explained how the clean up had to be done in a manner that would prevent further problems, such as flooding from the Hudson River. Students learned much from this fascinating presentation and it was an inspiring way to wrap up to their 9/11 unit.
