Kindergarten children at Lubavitch on the Palisades went on a fall walk and gathered leaves and pine cones. The children sorted the leaves by size, shape and color and used a graph to tally them. They investigated the characteristics and classified them with the characteristics of elm, birch or oak trees. Children used leaves to create unique works of art and conducted an experiment to explore why the leaves change color.
