All week long at Heichal HaTorah, the talmidim eagerly look forward to Friday and the weekly erev Shabbat tish for the entire school. A combination of inspiring words from their rebbeim, music and food prepares them to go into Shabbats in the proper spirit. Usually, the yeshiva-wide tish is with the rosh yeshiva, but on Thursday, November 22, the talmidim were treated to a special (one day early) tish by Rav Dovid’l Weinberg, who addressed the timely topic of hakarat hatov. Rabbi Weinberg is the newest member of Heichal’s limudei kodesh faculty, joining the yeshiva from his usual position at Yeshivat Orayta in eretz Yisrael, where his major areas of learning include the koach of Torah.
