As a yeshiva that consists of talmidim from many different communities, MTA hosts Shabbat programming in various communities throughout the year. On November 30-December 1, MTA hosted an amazing shabbaton in Queens, with more than 50 talmidim from across New York and New Jersey in attendance. With beautiful minyanim at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills, followed by lively seudot filled with delicious food, zemirot and inspirational Divrei Torah, as well as a tish led by Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) rebbe Rabbi Ophie Nat, everyone enjoyed an incredible and uplifting Shabbat with friends and rebbeim. “Shabbatons like this are the perfect way to promote achdus among all of our talmidim,” said Director of Student Activities Elie Hirt. “It also provides additional opportunities for talmidim to spend time with one another and their rebbeim outside the classroom.”
