The sounds of children playing, balls bouncing, music and carpool, are the soundtrack of a vibrant school. At the same time, living on the block of a school isn’t always easy. Carpool lines and lively children can be challenges that come along with such a location. Keeping this is mind, the JEC decided to present the neighbors on the adjacent blocks with a small gift as a gesture of appreciation for dealing with these challenges. The seventh grade prepared a hot cocoa kit complete with hot cocoa mix, chocolate chips and marshmallows. The Early Childhood designed beautiful cards expressing warm wishes for the neighbors. Finally, some of the eighth graders went door to door delivering the gifts and explaining how much we appreciate having good neighbors. A special thank you to the JEC PTA for organizing such a meaningful project for the students!
