Bruriah middle-school students and their mothers explored the attitude of gratitude at Bruriah’s annual mother-daughter yom iyun. With “iAppreciate” as the theme, daughters and their mothers participated in various activities to reinforce how important each body part is in daily activities. The students performed a stomp and a dance, and the choir performed songs that hold relevance to the day’s theme. Each student along with her mother created a thank-you bulletin board to bring the concept of gratitude to their homes. June Fooksman, whose daughter Mattie Rose is a seventh grader said, “My daughter and I had such a great time. We are grateful for the program and the lessons learned from being grateful.” Words of inspiration from Shuli Fuchs rounded out the day’s program, which was sponsored by Joseph and Molly Rothstein in memory of לאה בת יצחק Lea Laufer Goodman.
