The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Teaneck Doghouse would like to recognize 10-year-old Shayna Eizikovitz as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The fourth grader at the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey, is coming off of an amazing MGBL season. Coach Efrem Billauer of the Poppy’s Bagels, Pizza and TCBY team told the JLNJ, ”Shayna was the heart and leader of the team. She made the other players on our team better and always approached the games with a smile and with great sportsmanship!” Eizikovitz led the team all season and pulled off a Willis Reed moment when she shocked all by leaving her sickbed to play in the championship game.
