This season of Parent Child Learning brought excitement to the BMOB’s beis medrash with vibrant learning every Motzaei Shabbos. At the end of each week of parent-child learning Rabbi Moshe Stavsky taught a new melacha related to creating the fabrics for the Mishkan, along with its practical applications. As a culmination to the season’s learning, Dr. Yitz Goldstein built an authentic loom to illustrate the less-familiar melachos of maisach (placing threads onto a loom), oseh shtei batei nirin (constructing two heddles), oraig (weaving) and potzaya (unraveling threads). We can’t wait to continue learning about the melachos next year.
