In Yeshivat Noam, led by parent volunteers, the Health Task Force led Health Week, including a Health Fair with activities focused on reading. The students learned yoga, to help with proper posture while reading. They made smoothies and learned how different foods promote better eyesight which helps with reading. There was a memory station, in which they had to remember items they were shown after they were taken away or look at a picture of someone dressed up with different items and remember what the person was wearing and replicate it on their friends. In the last station, they made stress balls to use when they are feeling stressed or to use when reading to help with focus. This was coordinated by the Parent School Partnership’s Health Committee, co-chaired by Tamara Berkowitz and Chani Oshinsky.
