The Gaelen Center for the Arts at JCC MetroWest has announced a performance of The Juilliard School’s Piano Trio Umami, on Sunday, March 3, at 4 p.m. Piano Trio Umami is comprised of notable young artists Tal First (an Israeli native) on violin, Tomsen Su on cello and Ilya Laskin on piano. As part of the Gaelen Center’s 2019 Conservatory Chamber Music Series, the concert will feature three of the greatest composers of the Romantic period: Ludwig van Beethoven, César Franck and Robert Schumann. The Gaelen Center for the Arts at JCC MetroWest is located at 760 Northfield Avenue in West Orange.
“Piano Trio Umami is an appealing young group of talented and serious musicians. They not only play beautifully but they also speak beautifully about the music they play,” said Judith Lieberman, JCC MetroWest’s Arts and Culture Task Force chair.
Tickets are $20 for JCC MetroWest members or students; $25 for guests. To purchase tickets, visit https://jccmetrowest.org/event/trio-umami.
