The Jewish Link is excited to announce the start of a new monthly series: “Six Over Sixty.” We will be highlighting the lives and careers of 60-somethings who have made major career changes after the age of 60.

In today’s economy, many people are working well beyond “retirement age,” whether due to finances, longevity or simply love of the job. Forced retirement is pretty much a thing of the past, in many fields at least, and older employees are not only sharing their experience, knowledge and wisdom with their younger peers, many of them are taking their skills to new heights and embarking on employment in fields unrelated to what they had done previously.

We would like to honor the older members of the workforce for their perseverance and bravery, as starting again in a new field is never easy, especially at an older age.

We invite our readers to nominate someone, male or female, who has redefined their professional lives by switching careers after the age of 60. The six most interesting stories will be the basis of articles on these individuals, to be featured in future issues of The Jewish Link of New Jersey.
