Project S.A.R.A.H. Presents CyberSafety Program at Naaleh High School

(Courtesy of Project S.A.R.A.H.) On Monday, February 25, Project S.A.R.A.H. presented its CyberSafety program at Naaleh High School for Girls. Two Project SARAH clinical social workers educated the girls about how to stay safe while using the internet. They emphasized the importance of having a trusted adult with whom you can share information if you ever feel unsafe on social media. Included in the discussion was the importance of time limits and filters as well as the challenges associated with these restrictions.

Dr. Ruth Glasser, Naaleh school psychologist said, “The program brought to life, in an engaging way, fundamental issues of safety, friendship and communication that arise around digital citizenship, and we are pleased to have had the opportunity to partner with Project S.A.R.A.H. in providing our students with these invaluable tools.”

Project S.A.R.A.H. believes preventing abuse is a valuable part of its program of promoting personal safety in intimate relationships. Education about potential vulnerability in the new world of cyberspace is critical to having children continue to experience lives that are free of abuse. Join Project S.A.R.A.H. at its upcoming April 7, breakfast to learn more about the full array of prevention services available to the Jewish community.
