Morah Heather Liebowitz received the Jerry Gottesman Award for the Pursuit of Teaching Excellence back in 2017. This award was organized by the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest. Over the past year and a half, Liebowitz has devoted many hours to professional development, specifically in the area of Responsive Classroom. On April 8, Liebowitz and the three other members of her cohort, were given the opportunity to present on their area of development. Their presentation consisted of a speech and an informative powerpoint filled with pictures of students and teachers in action. JEC is inspired by Liebowitz’s achievements and so proud to have her as part of Team JEC!
