Ma’ayanot’s delegation to the AIPAC Policy conference in Washington, D.C., had an eventful and meaningful experience. They lobbied on the Hill and met many influential individuals including New Jersey Congressman Josh Gottheimer, AIPAC President and First Lady Drs. Mort and Esther Fridman, Rachelle Fraenkel and Morris Kahn, financial supporter of the Bereishit Mission to the moon. Thanks to their adviser, Halacha teacher Yael Weil, they also got a behind-the-scenes kashrut tour with Rabbi Tzvi Holland, kashrus administrator of the Star-K, who explained the massive operation of kashering a facility that feeds 20,000 people.
