JLNJ Contributor Sarah Abenaim Releases Book of ‘Momoirs’

On April 5, Jewish Link writer Sarah Abenaim announced the release of her first book, “Imperfection: A Momoir,” a collection of 36 essays, some of which have appeared in The Jewish Link, as well as a lot of newer material.

Readers are given a glimpse of the life of a mother that often mirrors their own. It is through the telling of these stories, these often perfectly imperfect moments, that a community of parents is built. Many of us share the same struggles, the chaos, the earth-shattering highs and the embarrassing lows, and through the chapters, readers feel understood and connected. It is like Abenaim is extending her hand, a virtual companion, through the journey of parenthood.

Abenaim brings us on a journey through the years of child-rearing, exposing stories of defeat and triumph, of locking her toddler in the car in a supermarket parking lot, of thinking she accidentally poisoned her young children and of forcing herself to finish motorcycle school so her children would understand what it means to make a commitment and to see it through to completion. Prepare to smile, laugh and cry while immersing yourself in the stories in this one-of-a-kind “Momoir.”

The book is currently available on Amazon, both in print and Kindle versions. Stay tuned for info on a book-launch party.
