More than 70 Schechter alumni (Classes 2014-2019) “returned home” for the inaugural young alumni pre-Shavuot erev iyun (night of learning) held in the SSDS beit midrash on Wednesday, May 29. Moderated by School Rabbi Fred Elias, and inspired and facilitated by Justin Yehuda (Class of 2015), students studied “Lessons in Faith and Perseverance in the Book of Ruth” with their beloved teachers and mentors, Ilana Lerner, Martha Resnick, Jerry Shapiro and Ricky Stamler-Goldberg.
