During poetry month, BPY students were invited to participate in the Paramus Public Library Poetry Contest. This contest gave students an opportunity to share their creativity and understanding of the elements of poetry. BPY is proud to share that Aderet Bassik received the fourth grade honorable mention for her poem, “Stars in the Night Sky.”

Stars in the Night Sky

Shining in the night sky,

They are shining so, so bright,

As the glow of a lit candle in the darkness,

Riding through the night with their sparkleness,

Stars…shining stars
