In conjunction with their study of immigration, the JEC third grade visited the Tenement Museum on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. They had the chance to experience first-hand what it was like to come to this country in the early 1900s and settle in the Lower East Side. They also enjoyed a special Lower East Side delicacy—pickles!
