(Courtesy of NORPAC) On Sunday morning, Bryna and Joshua Landes of Riverdale hosted Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY) for a NORPAC brunch event at their home.
Engel is the newly appointed chairman of the house foreign affairs committee, after having served as ranking member for many years under retired Congressman Ed Royce (R-CA).
During the event, Engel reiterated his stance that U.S.-Israel issues must remain nonpartisan. While he has held his seat since 1989, candidates in the Democratic party are looking to unseat him in the coming primary, citing his support for Israel among the issues they are using to criticize him.
Congressman Eliot Engel will be up for re-election next year, and will face his primary in the spring.
