This week Moriah kindergarten discussed the concept of tashlich—throwing away mistakes from last year, and starting fresh. As the classes spoke about this idea, each child thought of something they did this past year that they know wasn’t a good choice, and would like to try not to repeat in the coming new year. Every student received a chalkboard slate and drew an illustration of their “mistake.” The students shared their thoughts and then on the count of three everyone said the word tashlich and erased their picture!
