Jewish Home Foundation Holds Black Tie Gala

(Courtesy of Jewish Home) Close to 350 members of the community celebrated with the Jewish Home Family on Sunday October 6, at its Annual Black Tie Gala at The Rockleigh in Rockleigh, New Jersey. Members of its board of governors, resident family members, staff, elders and many state legislators including former Governor Richard Cody feted this year’s honoree, Leon Sokol, of Teaneck, New Jersey, for his long-term support and commitment to the mission of The Jewish Home Family, as well as his dedication and leadership within Bergen County’s Jewish community and in Israel.

The evening’s journal raised over $847,000 to help support programs and services for the enrichment of the lives of seniors in our community, both in The Jewish Home’s facilities and in their homes.

A short film entitled “Advancing the Art of Living” premiered at the event and can be viewed at JewishHomeFamily.org.

The Jewish Home Family and its member entities—Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Jewish Home Assisted Living, Jewish Home at Home and Jewish Home Foundation—are not-for-profit organizations providing long-term care, sub-acute rehabilitation, elder abuse shelter, outreach programs and outpatient services for the elderly and their families. The Jewish Home Family’s mission is to develop and oversee the very best of care, services and advice for the elderly and their families at home and in their facilities, now and in the future.
