At Yavneh Academy, the study of Parshat Bereishit came to an exciting peak this past Friday in early childhood at the Bereishit Fair. Each classroom was transformed into a different day of creation filled with lessons, activities and edible experiences! The children experienced darkness and created light with glow sticks, they painted clouds and used shaving cream as a sensory activity, planted seeds, made telescopes to see the stars, sponge painted birds and fish, played with water and sand, drew self-portraits. Finally, the students had the very special opportunity to bake their own challot for Shabbat!
