At JEC, students are striving to find more opportunities to learn Torah. The weekly optional night seder continues with a strong showing of over 20 boys who decide to stay late for enjoyable and engaging learning sessions led by Rabbi Raphael Karlin. The boys are learning Bava Metzia based on the Talmud Israeli program. The boys first learn in chavruta; the sound of active learning has a real beit midrash feel! Rabbi Karlin then reviews the material and adds insights. It is impressive how much the boys know, but most of all how they volunteer their time for extra learning!
