Last November, Yitzchok Moully, a multimedia artist and resident of Hillside, created a large-scale, visually arresting painting representing the terrible massacre that took the lives of 11 members of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
The painting was purchased by the World Zionist Organization last year with the intention of donating it to the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. However, the facility is not yet prepared to house it, so Moully was asked to display it at the U.S. Finals of the Chidon HaTanach in Manhattan last weekend, in hopes of finding a prominent temporary location for the painting until it can go to the Tree of Life.
