There was quite a buzz in the air after Tzipi Waltner, CEO of BYRDNYC, addressed the Yavneh Academy middle school girls on November 28. When it was announced that Yavneh would be hosting a fashion show on December 3, many of the students volunteered to bring the event to life. They signed up for setting up the event, designing a laser light show for the viewing, and modeling. A dance performance was included as well! The fashions were donated by female-headed businesses including BYRD, Three Bows, Mia Mod, Aqua, Necessary Objects and Love Ady.

The finale brought the event to a close. Six eighth graders designed two different Yavneh skirts. Those same six girls came out on the runway proudly wearing their new Yavneh swag. It was a wonderful evening from start to finish with all middle school grades participating. Look out for that Yavneh skirt!

This was truly a beautiful way to “see the good” in the way we dress. Everyone enjoyed the program, snacks and giveaways.
