As a continuation to the exciting STEM unit on forces of motion, first graders built pulleys and inclined planes for the robotic Bee Bots. They also played balloon volleyball and discussed how pushing and pulling on an object can change the speed and direction of its motion, and that a bigger push or pull can make things speed up or slow down more quickly.
