The TABC JV basketball team made easy work of the Ramaz Rams to stay unbeaten in league play and improve their record to 6-0. Ramaz found themselves down by only two at the end of the first quarter but early in the second quarter, the Storm went on a 7-0 run led by sophomores Shmuel Yablok and Joey Zelig and took a 16-10 lead, forcing Ramaz to a timeout. But things only got worse for Ramaz from there. TABC built on their run and eventually went into halftime up by 16. Freshman Rafi Suss was key for the Storm off the bench with an all-around performance, and forced Ramaz into a lot of turnovers, converting defense into offense. Sophomores Yis Kaminetzky, Harry Orlinsky and Eli Saks all executed on the court, and thanks to the lead they built, every single member of the team saw playing time as the Storm cruised to a 58-39 victory. JV basketball faces a big test next week, playing two games in one week for the first time this season. Coach Oz is not concerned, saying his players are well-conditioned and mentally prepared to rise to the challenge!
