The Bruriah Torah Bowl team went to their third competition of the season this past week. The girls studied Parshiot Mishpatim, Terumah and Tetzaveh to prepare for this competition. The team competed against Ilan, Kushner and Naaleh. The team proudly won all of their matches and they are now off to the playoffs. Torah Bowl team member, Ahuva Becker commented, “Torah Bowl allows me to create connections in my Torah learning and further strengthen my foundation of Torah knowledge.” Co-captain Hallie Gordon explained, “Torah Bowl gives me the opportunity to learn some Torah on my own, out of the classroom. The concept of learning lishma has always been really important to me. I feel that our victory would not have been possible without each and every member of our super awesome team. The teamwork displayed at the meets themselves, as well as during preparation, really adds another level to the Torah learning. We all work together, study and help each other solve apparent contradictions in pshat and Rashi, but perhaps most importantly, we bond with each other and create Torah bowl memories.” Kol hakavod to the Bruriah Torah Bowl team!
