Ramaz Hockey Advances to Championship for First Time in 33 Years

Ramaz came into Kushner with energy and motivation. After a shocking upset win over Frisch, Ramaz continued its stunning cup run with a 5-3 win over Kushner. Three goals from captain Eddie Catton, earning him YLP player of the week, and two goals from Joey Kaplan led Ramaz to victory. EJ Singer also played incredibly well again.

The next test for Ramaz: a meeting with DRS for the cup. It certainly won’t be easy but nothing has been “easy” for the Rams, including three straight playoff road victories with opponents, such as Frisch, going down to wire. Yet, DRS is coming off a very close game vs. HAFTR which went into two overtimes. The key for Ramaz will be to shut down DRS’s sharp-shooter Coby Casden and DRS’s first-line defense (Yoni Savitsky and Ariel Ifergan). Plus, they will need to get as many shots as possible on DRS goalie Michael Mintz. Whiles these tasks seem unachievable, Ramaz has continuously proved the doubters wrong and won’t shy down from its competition. As we know too well, anything can happen in hockey.
